Joint Patrol with CST

On SATURDAY 05/09/2026, Hampstead Town Safer Neighbourhood Team joined representatives from the Community Security Trust, known as CST, for a reassurance and familiarisation patrol across Camden.

During the patrol, we visited synagogues across the borough and spoke with members of the community. CST explained more about its work, the concerns affecting the communities it supports and how local policing teams can assist.

CST is a charity that supports and protects British Jewish communities from antisemitism and related threats. It provides security advice, supports people affected by antisemitic incidents and works closely with police.

We also discussed how CST and local policing teams can share relevant information and support each other when concerns arise. The patrol was a valuable opportunity to listen, learn and strengthen partnership working across Camden.

Antisemitism, hatred and violence have no place in London. Neighbourhood policing teams remain committed to working with residents, community groups and partner organisations to help all our communities feel safe and supported.

Hate crime and personal safety advice

If you experience or witness antisemitism or another form of hate crime:

Move to a safe place and avoid confronting anyone if this could put you at risk.

Call 999 if there is an immediate danger, violence is being used or threatened, a crime is taking place or the person responsible is still nearby.

Report non-emergency hate crime to the Metropolitan Police online or by calling 101.

Make a note of what happened, including the date, time, location and descriptions of the people or vehicles involved.

Keep any messages, emails, photographs, videos, social media posts or screenshots that may assist police.

Do not delete original messages or online content, even if it is upsetting.

If it is safe to do so, identify nearby CCTV, doorbell footage or witnesses. Ask for footage to be retained, as it may be deleted automatically.

Tell police about any previous incidents or repeated behaviour, even if they were not reported at the time.

Suspicious behaviour should be reported rather than investigated or challenged personally.

You can report a hate crime even if you do not know the identity of the person responsible. Information about verbal abuse, threats and other incidents can still help police understand patterns and improve local policing.
